I think I actually got and beat that game first. I can't recall the exact reason for that. It might have gone on sale first, or maybe I just thought the sequel would be more "advanced", or something. Anyway, that was another $5 late '90's NES purchase.

My memory was that it didn't especially impress me, but I didn't actively dislike it, either. So, I might be expected to find it OK if I replayed it.
